Shipping Addresses & Event Labels
My event provided shipping labels, can these be added to my order?
Yes, if the event or convention has provided required shipping labels, they can be submitted and attached to the order. When checking out, please fill in the shipping address to match as closely to the labels as possible. This is to avoid delays as it will confirm that the address on the labels is correct. If the two do not match, we will reach out to confirm which address the order should be shipped to.
Once the order has been placed, the completed labels can be uploaded along with the graphics files via the artwork link on the website. All shipping labels need to be noted on the order prior to final proof approval. Please ensure shipping labels are filled out in their entirety before sending them in.
Can I ship my order to a hotel?
Yes, absolutely! While we do recommend checking with your specific hotel regarding how far in advance they will accept packages and if there are any size restrictions, most hotels will accept and hold packages for their guests. Based on client feedback we have found that most hotels will accept packages up to 5 days in advance of check-in.
This can be a great option if you are working on a short timeline and may need to leave for your event before your order would arrive. We can ship everything to your hotel to allow some additional travel time and the display can meet you there!
I need to change the address on my order, is this possible?
The shipping address on an order can be modified up until the point the artwork proofs have been approved. Once the proofs are confirmed, the order enters the production phase, and no further changes can be made. The proofs email displays the current shipping address we have on file, and approving the proofs also confirms the accuracy of this address.
If final approval has not been given for the artwork, there are two options for updating the address:
- The new address can be emailed in to info@backdrop.com. We require all changes and updates to be provided in written format to prevent any potential errors. This option is best for orders where the art files have yet to be uploaded.
- If the art files have been uploaded or proofs have been received, there will be a section in the proofs email which notes it is only to be completed if the address shown is incorrect. This section can be filled out to reflect any changes to shipping address during the approval process and the updates will be implemented.
My order has shipped but I need to change my shipping address
Unfortunately once proofs have been approved, changes can no longer be made to the shipping address. We do not suggest trying to have packages rerouted as this can cause delays and increases the risk of items being lost. If a change of address is requested once a package has been shipped, the item will travel to the main sorting hub in the original state before being updated and rerouted.
